In 2267, Doctor Leonard McCoy referred to Vaal as "a hunk of tin." (TOS: "The Apple")

Armus referred to Data as a "Tin Man" in 2364, after Data theorized that the slick they encountered on Vagra II might be a lifeform, as well as several other times throughout their encounter. Additionally, he was called "robot", "device", and "machine". (TNG: "Skin Of Evil")

In 2375, Julian Bashir told a story about Davy Crockett arranging tin frying pans in such a way as to allow a bullet to ricochet off each one in turn. (DS9: "Field of Fire")

In 2376, B'Elanna Torres asked Kelis to obtain a piece of metal that was three parts tin to five parts bronze with one side coated with gold, so that she could repair the subspace transmitter on the crashed Delta Flyer. (VOY: "Muse")
