Thomas Kopache is one of a handful of actors to appear on all four of the Star Trek TV spin-offs. He is also one of four actors to play seven different characters in the Star Trek franchise. (Jeffrey Combs, J.G. Hertzler and Randy Oglesby are the others.)

Kopache guested on Star Trek: The Next Generation as the Romulan science officer Mirok in "The Next Phase", and as the the Engineer in "Emergence".

On Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, he played Kira Taban, father of Kira Nerys, in two episodes, "Ties of Blood and Water" and "Wrongs Darker Than Death or Night".

Kopache appeared twice on Star Trek: Enterprise: first as the Vulcan diplomat Tos in "Broken Bow", and then as the unnamed alien test subject (later revealed to be one of the Sphere Builders) in "Harbinger".

In addition to his television appearances in the 22nd- and 24th-century versions of Star Trek, Kopache appeared in the 23rd century as the communications officer on the Enterprise-B in Star Trek: Generations.
