Thermionic transconductance was the subject of a paper written by Bolian officer Hars Adislo in the 2370s, which he presented to the Nel Bato Conference in 2374. Whilst hosting an Evoran delegation in 2375, Adislo bumped into Jean-Luc Picard, and asked if the Starfleet captain had had a chance to read the paper. (Star Trek: Insurrection)
