Thermal pulse ignition charge, or thermal pulse ignition device, was a type of technological device. This charge was used with Evora oxide for precision-charged patterns of destruction for demolition work. At higher power settings, this charge was used for activating Sternbachium for chemical laser ignition applications and gamma pulse generation. (TNG: "Night Terrors")
Thermal pulse is a term used in nucleonics which is defined as, The radiant power versus time pulse from a nuclear weapon detonation. [1] This device was mentioned in the graphics created for the remastered episode.
