The Puppet Masters is a novel by Robert Heinlein, published in 1951.
After reading Benny Russell's Deep Space Nine novella, Darlene Kursky told him it was the best piece of science fiction she had read since Heinlein's novel. (DS9: "Far Beyond the Stars")
The 1994 movie based on the novel starred many Star Trek guest stars, including Andrew Robinson, Julie Warner, Sam Anderson, J. Patrick McCormack, Nicholas Cascone, William Wellman, Jr., Michael Shamus Wiles, and Todd Bryant.
