Template:Realworld The Body Electric is a forthcoming novel by David Mack, scheduled to be released in January 2013. The final part in the Star Trek: The Next Generation - Cold Equations trilogy, the novel will reportedly feature the crew of the USS Enterprise-E as they seek to "stop a massive sentient machine from unleashing a catastrophe that will exterminate all organic life in the galaxy".
Mack revealed that contracts had been signed for the novel on 8 March 2011. [1] The individual novel titles and story details were announced in Star Trek Magazine issue 166.
Announcing the trilogy on his blog, Mack noted that Wesley Crusher would play a role in this story. [2]
