Texas was a region located on the Gulf coast of the North American continent of Earth. This was a state in the United States of America. The bordering states were Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. The cities of Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, and Lubbock were located in this state. The two-letter code for this state was TX. Texas was named on a map of the United States (Die Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika). The contours of this state were seen on a map of the United States in "Little Green Men".

A scene that was in the shooting script of the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Paradise Lost" mentioned a spaceport in the Texan city of Brackettville, via Bracketville Spaceport. Jake Sisko and Joseph Sisko were to take a transport from Brackettville to Mars. [1]
