The Tesnian escape pod was a small Tesnian craft used to evacuate a ship in an emergency. Tesnian starships were equipped with this type of escape pods.

In 2151, a Tesnian starship was destroyed when the sensor array and navigational systems malfunctioned during an attempted docking with Enterprise NX-01. Fortunately, the crew managed to get to the escape pods in time. (ENT: "Shuttlepod One")
