Captain Rudolph Ransom was fond of spending time on the Tenkaran coast to escape from his situation aboard the USS Equinox, stranded in the Delta Quadrant. However, his guilt over killing nucleogenic lifeforms to expedite their way home, and ordering the extraction of Seven of Nine's cortical array, caused him to hallucinate inside the simulation.
Ransom spent the last moments of his life on the Tenkaran coast, just before nucleogenic lifeforms destroyed his ship. (VOY: "Equinox, Part II")
