Tau Ceti Prime was the prime planet in the Tau Ceti system. This system was located in the Alpha Quadrant. Vice Admiral Janeway died on Tau Ceti Prime, when he drowned under an ice cap, sometime prior to 2358. (VOY: "Coda")
In the "The Explored Galaxy" star chart, first seen in "Conspiracy", Tau Ceti was located between the Tholian Assembly and Romulus. Both were identified in "Call to Arms" as being located in the Alpha Quadrant.
