Tantalus V was the inhabited fifth planet of the Tantalus system. This ringed world was the site of a Federation rehabilitation colony.

In 2266, the USS Enterprise visited Tantalus V for a routine visit to its penal complex. (TOS: "Dagger of the Mind")
