Kai Taluno was the leading religious figure on Bajor in the 22nd century. Taluno's ship was "almost swallowed by the heavens" near the Denorios belt. His story helped Benjamin Sisko and Jadzia Dax locate the Bajoran wormhole in 2369. (DS9: "Emissary")

The Star Trek Chronology speculates that this event took place in 2133.
