Talos V was the fifth planet in the Talosian system, which was located within the Talos star group The planet had one moon.

In 2254, the position and orbital path of Talos V on an inner system map was displayed on the bridge of the USS Enterprise. This planet was located 3.2 astronomical units from the binary stars Talos A and Talos B. (TOS: "The Cage", "The Menagerie, Part I", production art)

According to the Star Trek: Star Charts (pgs. 40-41, "United Federation of Planets III"), Talos V was classified as a D-class planet. In 2378, Talos V was located in or near Federation space, in the Alpha Quadrant.
