Talos III was the third planet in the Talosian star system. This planet had a ring system. Prior to 2285, the United Federation of Planets had established a colony on this planet. (TOS: "The Cage", Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan)

Background Edit

The planet was never mentioned in dialog; this name came from a map of the Talosian system. Talos III was mentioned again on a cargo-box seen in The Wrath of Khan.

Planet Information Edit

The reference work Star Trek: Star Charts depicted this planet sans rings. Talos III was classified as a Class L (Marginal) planet. (pg. 40)

Location Edit

The reference work Star Trek: Star Charts located Talos III in the Alpha Quadrant (pg. 34).

In the episode Conspiracy, there was a galactic map. This map showed the locations of several stars and planets from Star Trek: The Original Series and Star Trek: The Animated Series. In this map, Talos was located in a block set between 344 and 345, and four blocks from the galactic edge. (Sol was located in a block set between 348 and 349, and two blocks from the galactic edge.)
