Talnot was a Bajoran who wrote several prophecies, including The Prophecy of the Final Days, which is one of the ancient texts.

In 2375, Winn Adami, when told by the disguised Dukat of the Rogath blight that had struck Relliketh, believed it had been foretold in a passage from Talnot's prophecy, "the land shall be poisoned by a great evil." (DS9: "'Til Death Do Us Part")
