I noticed this page got moved -- but I was wondering if this name was canonically verified -- i thought i had asked someone before, but never got an answer -- was her name in the script, the credits or the dialogue?
- Well, I googled it and you get at least 83 pages talking about Zahra Jamal and "Operation -- Annihilate!". Apparently, it has picked up on canon before. When I moved the page, I didn't realize their had been a debate before, and I haven't seen the episode in a quite a while. A bunch of links, from Operation: Annihilate! and Yeoman for example, linked to Zahra Jamal. When I googled the name I saw all those 83 hits referencing Operation: Annihilate!, including some trust-worthy sites. I figured someone overlooked the page move, and I was bold. If it's not in the script or on-screen it probably has to go, but I still wonder where "Jamal" came from. Anyways, this is the second time today this has happened to me, and I'm going to lay off the page moves for a while. If someone think that this has to be moved back, then by all means go ahead. I think it should stay for a little while to see if someone can come up with a canon reference.--Tim Thomason 19:18, 22 Aug 2005 (UTC)
So, any progress on the source of 'Jamal'? She's only credited as Yeoman Zahra and Jamal isn't heard in the episode, actually she is never referred to by name at all. Kennelly 10:41, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
Unaware of this name controversy, I inserted Zahra (Jamal) into my story for the Kirk v. Picard contest on FanLib. Read it here!
I hope I didn't step on any canonical toes by putting her name in there. Awbeal 17:42, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
