Vulcan High Command? Edit

What's the relationship between the Council and the Vulcan High Command? Since the article states this is the ruling body of Vulcan, and the High Command is also known as the highest governmental body of Vulcan, would the two be the same?Ctetc2007 19:54, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

And why is this page called "Vulcan High Council" when the film only refers to it as "the Vulcan Council"? --TimPendragon Hail 17:17, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
I didn't move it. No idea why it was moved.- JustPhil 17:52, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
The High Command, at least as a governing body, was disbanded in the 22nd century following the events of the discovery of the Kir'Shara. --OuroborosCobra talk 18:27, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
On seeing the movie for a third time, I believe I did hear Spock say "Vulcan High Council," but I would ask someone else to verify before I many any edits. I'm seeing the movie again tomorrow, so I'll see if I can pick it up again. Either way, it still has nothing to do with the Vulcan High Command. --TimPendragon Hail 18:27, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
Chekov said "Vulcan High Command" in his ship-wide mission broadcast. Spock said "Vulcan High Council". Also, this isn't the first time the two terms have been used interchangeably before: Klingon High Council <--> Klingon High Command. --Alan 18:31, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
Nothing in the film refers to the High Council as being the ruling body of Vulcan; it's described as a cultural entity, not a governmental one. Spock definitely calls it the "High Council." Chekov was probably using the term "high command' generically rather than referring to an agency's formal name. -- Sci 07:10 19 MAY 2009 UTC
Not really...just because they receive a distress call from the High Command and Spock saves the High Council doesn't mean they're used interchangeably at all. Just that there were two, similar named, entities. — Morder 18:15, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
That's what I said. -- Sci 06:51 29 MAY 2009 UTC

Members?Edit

Was Amanda actually referenced as a member of the Vulcan High Command? I must admit when I realized she was there, I was really surprise. It is hard to imagine in this timeline or any other that the Vulcan High-anything would allow a human to be a member, no matter who they were married to. I am even surprised she was allowed to be in the temple, but to actually participate ...--Dogg 04:59, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

I agree, there is no mention of her being a member. She may just be there do to the emergency....--User:SpocksinnerConflict 12:53, 10 June 2009
