Jem'Hadar?Edit

Kressari, Distant Voices
Is that a Jem'Hadar?

At the end of "Distant Voices", when Bashir and Garak are first talking, an alien walks by the table that looks strikingly alot like a Jem'Hadar. Is it? The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.140.103.90 (talk).

No, I believe that's a KressariBertaut 20:08, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
Here is a screen shot of the creature in question: looks like a Jem'Hadar to me.--0graham0 01:43, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
I think this is a Kressari. Definitely isn't a Jem'Hadar. --OuroborosCobra talk 01:55, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
Still looks a lot like a Kressari. They had very similar make-up and masks. -- sulfur 02:01, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
The second image shows it a bit more clearly actually. The make-up is too pale for a Jem'Hadar, and definitely suits the look of a Kressari more. -- sulfur 02:10, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
I don't think it is a Kressari, it may be a similar species. Yet all the Kressari I have researched all come up with smooth tops of their heads. They had no "tooth like" spikes on the top of the head on the sides like this one does. There are fleshy ripples but nothing that resembles the 4 or 5 spikes on the top of the alien in question. However, on a Jem'Hadar there are pronounced amounts of these spikes around the face plate and skull base. This is also not the case in the image in question. I think we are looking at a new species or at least one undocumented here. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jlandeen (talk • contribs).
This is definitely a Kressari. He even wears the same costume, Zef'No wore in "The Circle". It's the same background Kressari that was seen in many DS9 episodes, beginning with "Necessary Evil". There are some more screenshots of Kressari here, here, here and here: You can see that it's always the same mask, with all the spikes. The spikes were always part of the Kressari make-up. The make-up was changed slightly for the last few appearances of the Kressari in the last two seasons of DS9, when the colour was darkened to a more Jem'Hadar-ish grey flesh tone, but the shape of the mask remained the same. --Jörg 10:10, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
