Removed text Edit
Since space is completely noncorrosive to a ship's hull, the factors that limit a ship's useful life in Earth's saltwater oceans, which corrode metal via electrolysis, are completely eliminated.
I removed this text because while it is true as far as it goes, it gives a misleading impression because there are other factors that might weaken the ship's hull over time, including: micrometeor damage, thermal warping due to repeated heating/cooling, and radiation-induced metal fatigue.
The pertinent background section reads fine without the text, so I thought it best to remove itCapt Christopher Donovan 01:52, 10 December 2008 (UTC)
