Ship existence?Edit

I know this ship is a stretch. Here's my argument: Images from the trailers show the wreckage of the destroyed starships. One of the ships had these words on the hull: "xxxFLOWExxx". In the novelization for the film, on page 111, one of the ships is named USS Mayflower. Is it possible that the Mayflower was in the movie? I don't believe in coincidences, so I feel that this ship is the USS Mayflower. What are your thoughts?– Airtram3 13:44, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

Well, first off...the trailer is NOT canon. So unless it shows up in the film (which I haven't seen, but doesn't mean it's not there) this page should be deleted. — Morder 13:53, 14 May 2009 (UTC)
I am not arguing with you. Delete.– Airtram3 14:14, 14 May 2009 (UTC)
No one was asking for an argument.......he was simply saying that it needs to be in the movie to have an article.--31dot 16:12, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

...FLOWE. can be seen on the hull of a destroyed ship at Vulcan here[1], not too much of a stretch to make that Mayflower. - Archduk3:talk 13:28, October 13, 2009 (UTC)

http://www.morewords.com/contains-by-length/flower/ could be one of many... :) — Morder (talk) 13:35, October 13, 2009 (UTC)
I think you are being humorous, Mordor. Regardless, the Mayflower is mentioned in the novelization of the movie. – Throwback 20:29, October 13, 2009 (UTC)
Yes, but the name still isn't canon - the novelization isn't canon either. — Morder (talk) 22:01, October 13, 2009 (UTC)
This should probably be moved to an unnamed starship article with a notation that only part of the name was seen, and that it was expanded on in the novelization. Admittedly, it is probably likely it was intended to be the Mayflower, but as it stands now there is no proof.--31dot 22:16, October 13, 2009 (UTC)
Everything is alright as it is. In the special "Starships" of the Star Trek (Three disc Blu-ray) a sketch of the Mayflower can be seen beside other ships and it is named "Mayflower". – Tom 13:57, November 13, 2009 (UTC)

Odd... Edit

It definitely looks like a miranda class ship, but it was before the mass scale refit (such as Enterprise ((which has by this stage)). It is classed as unknown...anyone got any ideas on it? XNERZHULx 19:47, December 17, 2010 (UTC)

Removed Edit

Removed because uncited for a while. Can be brought back when a citation can be added. Tom (talk) 14:07, January 20, 2014 (UTC)

Mayflower's registry was a homage to the year when the historical Mayflower's passengers disembarked at Plymouth Rock, Massachusetts.
