pna-inaccurateEdit

Outside of the Star Trek Encyclopedia, what is the source of this ship? I don't recall it being referenced on screen at any time, which suggests this may succumb to the same fate as the USS Gage? --Alan del Beccio 19:06, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

The Encyclopedia is the only resource cited by other pages (such as www.ditl.org), and the BOBW scripts don't mention this name, either. This might be something we need to discuss for the whole Starships at Wolf 359 list at some time. I remember visiting a Trek exhibition, about 9-10 years ago, where this list was displayed as a LCARS screen - not a studio prop, however, but something specifically created for this exhibition. I assume this might be the one and only source for all of this. If I remember correctly, Sternbach and/or Okuda did some of the designs for this exhibition. -- Cid Highwind 19:48, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
For what it's worth, it was the Star Trek World Tour (Germany, 1998, we should have an article about that), and I think the list was on one of the displays in the "Earth Operations Center" as described here. -- Cid Highwind 20:14, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

Merge Edit

I find it highly doubtful that the name can be seen on screen, therefore this is taken from background information, and should be merged. --OuroborosCobra talk 12:10, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

I think this one, USS Buran and USS Chekov should stay, so oppose. The ships were seen onscreen and production staff provided the names, same story as Livingston IMO-here we even have pictures of the models used with names. Kennelly 15:56, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
The content policy allows us to use production and reference resources in the naming of articles... er, in other words, what Kennelly said. :P --From Andoria with Love 07:59, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
Like how Nemecek saved the day on the USS Trial. --Alan del Beccio 08:03, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
