Inspiration? Edit

While i have not seen anything to this effect, it seems likely that the inclusion of the 'transtator' bit in TOS: "A Piece of the Action" was inspired by real world transistors, which had revolutionized electronics a decade before TOS, and which were becoming the basis for pretty much all major electronics by the 1960's. The parallels are certainly there, and drawing a connection between the two would have been easy given how rapidly electronics changed in that preceding decade. --Mithril (talk) 21:46, March 3, 2013 (UTC)

Once you can find evidence of this(that the production team intended such a thing), it can be included. We don't put our own personal theories in articles, no matter how likely they might be or how much they make sense. 31dot (talk) 23:29, March 3, 2013 (UTC)
