TitleEdit

Based on Jorg's screenshot where the title can be seen here, should this be titled "The Ethics"? --31dot 09:48, July 22, 2011 (UTC)

I believe it should be. More opinions on this would be much appreciated, however. --Defiant 10:09, July 22, 2011 (UTC)
A cursory browsing through Amazon learns that Spinoza's work has been translated in English both as Ethics and The Ethics, which are both correct I guess, since Latin doesn't know articles. Gary is apparently reading a translation using the article. An option could be naming it "(The) Ethics"--Sennim 10:46, July 22, 2011 (UTC)
That still wouldn't be true to its on-screen appearance, however. According to strict canon evidence (which policy dictates we adhere to, in this case), there is no reason for the inclusion of the brackets. --Defiant 10:53, July 22, 2011 (UTC)
Then "The Ethics" it is, since that is what we actually see on screen.--Sennim 11:04, July 22, 2011 (UTC)
It should likely be moved to "The Ethics", but note that its proper 21st century title is just "Ethics". -- sulfur 11:05, July 22, 2011 (UTC)
I agree. :) --Defiant 11:12, July 22, 2011 (UTC)
