Needs wikification, references, general cleanup and rewrite. -- Michael Warren | Talk 21:43, 5 Mar 2005 (GMT)

Chief among its problems is a lack of any references. Where is this information from? -- THOR 18:22, 15 Mar 2005 (GMT)
I edited this site as asked my the site over-viewer, I dont know who's article this is but I hope my editing helps.
I've gone ahead and rewritten this -- removed:
The temporal communicator is used to communicate between different time zones. Evidence indicates that the creation of the temporal communicator may have ocurred in the mid-late 26th century. Not much is known about this technology, but the more advanced temporal communicators can communicate between alternate timelines. This simply means that one person in a standard/normal time line can contact another person in an alternate timeline. Alternate timelines are timelines that have been created due to temporal tampering caused by time travel. Temporal tampering soon lead to the making of the Temporal Prime Directive which probably originated in the 23rd century.
I've used specific episode references of when temporal communications have been mentioned on Star Trek. Some of the above text could possibly be re-added as soon as dialogue or some reference is found which indicates it is true. -- Captain Mike K. Bartel 18:45, 15 Mar 2005 (GMT)
