I like the note stating the real-life existence of a "tac officer" in the United States armed forces -- but is the "real-life" version classified as tactical as the article states? -- Captain M.K.B. 00:50, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

I am not sure specifically about the military, but in the Civil Air Patrol, the USAF Auxiliary, we have tac officers, and it is short for "tactical", and almost all of our terminology comes straight from the USAF. --OuroborosCobra talk 01:28, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

I've edited the article as per the terminology used in the US Army. There's a useful PDF here on TAC officers at the WOCS: http://usawocc.army.mil/center/WOCS_TAC_Officers.pdf I am not sure about the terminology used in the USAF or elsewhere, but this seems to better relate to what Chang actually does, rather than him being a "Tactical Officer". 92.13.99.1 04:56, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
