Interesting....but is it canon? Edit

The opening paragraph (which is in the present tense, btw), while interesting, is difficult to believe is canon. If no one can provide any canon reference that so describes those details concerning the making of hard sugar candy, I think I will either move the paragraph to a "background" section or remove it.
