Removal pre-amble Galaxy-class

I have removed and edited the following section:

{{

Designed by Andrew Probert, the first model of the Galaxy-class USS Enterprise-D was built by Industrial Light & Magic for TNG: "Encounter at Farpoint" together with a smaller, two-foot model. A third, intermediate, yet more detailed version was constructed during the third season and served throughout Star Trek: The Next Generation and into Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, appearing as the modified "Anti-time future" Enterprise from TNG: "All Good Things...", the USS Odyssey and the USS Venture (with added phaser arrays left over from "All Good Things..."). A specialty model was created for the episode TNG: "Cause and Effect", in which it was destroyed, and parts of it were again as the destroyed Odyssey for DS9: "The Jem'Hadar".

The original ILM model again saw use in Star Trek Generations, alongside a computer-generated version, which in an upgraded version was often seen during the Dominion War arc of DS9. Yet another upgraded computer-generated version would appear in the Star Trek: Enterprise finale, "These Are the Voyages...", created in part by Gabriel Koerner.

}}

Reasons for removal:

  • The subject now has its very own page.
  • A preamble like this, as per notification at the top of the page, has no place on this page as it does not refer to "recycled" classes, nor has the type ever been else than Galaxy-class..--Sennim 13:26, October 3, 2011 (UTC)
