Rules?Edit

I know the episode itself is understandably vague about the rules of the game, but is there any technical information that can be gleaned from watching the gameplay clips? Is there any resemblance to existing games (or have there even been games created that try to emulate this one?) Such information would be a very interesting addition to the article. --Stux 03:47, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

Game ControlsEdit

At my place of work this week while I was pulling some parts from a high shelf and placing them on my fingers, I was reminded of this game, saying to myself that I looked like a Strategema player, only with "wireless" controls. Then I thought, Strategema is a game that is played in the 24th Century but doesn't even have wireless controls? They were also quite bulky for the time (I would think). Except for the holographic board, it would be a decidedly low-tech game for the time. --mal7798 15:30, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

Maybe they just liked the retro look. --OuroborosCobra talk 17:57, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

Stratagema game scene influenced by James Bond movie ? Edit

I recall a scene in of one of the old James Bond movies (I think it was one last with Sean Connery or one of the first with Roger More), where 007 was forced to play an "electronic" game involving shooting rockets to take over territory. When I first saw the Stratagema scene i ST:TNG, I couldn't help feeling a sense of Deja Vu, untill I realized the similarities with that scene from the 007 movie. I wonder if the writers of that episodes where influenced by 007. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 87.50.108.98 (talk).

I think that you're thinking of "Never Say Never Again" btw. -- Sulfur 18:29, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
