Sulu doesn't ever use the word "Tunguska," instead all he says is "Once in Siberia, a meteor flattened whole forests...." We have an article at Siberia that covers this, and I believe the page should be merged there. I'm not formally stating so, but that is my belief.--Tim Thomason 04:59, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

I'd agree. I tweaked the link in the episode, "That Which Survives" to point to Siberia, and reworded the 1908 entry to point to Siberia. -- Sulfur 05:04, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
Agreed, and I have slapped on the merge template. --OuroborosCobra talk 05:06, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
Sounds good to me ;) - Enzo Aquarius 14:08, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
What 1908 entry? 65.163.115.254 22:26, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

1947Edit

In 1947, a meteor was seen detonating over the same area. This may explain Sulu's comment. 65.163.112.138 05:53, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

Unfortunately, that event is not canon --OuroborosCobra talk 05:58, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

Removed Edit

  • Sulu was likely referring to the Tunguska event of 1908.
  • No one knows what happened, but theories range from the mundane, such as a meteor impact to the exotic, such as a alien ship's engines detonating, antimatter, quantum singularities.

Removed - first one is speculative and the second is...well, unnecessary. — Morder (talk) 08:21, December 12, 2009 (UTC)
