Titles/grades?
Edit
There are probably a number of different grades/titles of sergeant mentioned in Star Trek -- one exists that i know of, as a first sergeant was featured in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home.
I have no screencaps of his first sergeant insignia, which an IP user, on Talk:First sergeant, has pointed out could vary from the version shown, since different grades of non-commissioned officers can hold the position of first sergeant.
Also , I have a suspicion more sergeant rank insignia might've been seen onscreen:
- "The Q and the Grey"
- "The Killing Game"
- "The Killing Game, Part II"
- "Tomorrow is Yesterday" (what grade was the air police sergeant?)
- Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home might've had other sergeants
- Any MACO appearance on ENT? (although there didn't seem to be any SGTs from when Kemper got hurt until Hayes named a Cpl. his successor, so after that maybe)
- "Little Green Men"
- Police sergeants?:
Air Police sgt
Edit
Ok, I'm certain that the Air Police Sergeant was a US Air Force Staff Sergeant (Paygrade of E5), which makes him equivalent in rank to an Army or Marines sergeant (paygrade of E5) or a US Navy/US Coast Guard Petty Officer 2nd Class (E5 paygrade, also).
- I had noticed he was above sergeant too, but from the caps I had i couldn't tell if he was "tech sergeant" or "staff sergeant" -- now we have a new article to make. -- Captain Mike K. Barteltalk 23:50, 12 Jan 2006 (UTC)
