Yeoman is a position, not a rank. Anyone can be a yeoman from enlisted to officers.
move to strike the footnote.Babaganoosh 03:54, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
- Yeoman is a Naval rate. In the US and Royal Navies at least, you have to be a petty officer to be a Yeoman. This terrible page seems to agree with me (somewhere in there).--Tim Thomason 04:10, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
- But since PO3 seems to have no rank insignia, it is reasonable that Samno is a Yeoman 3rd Class (the same as Yeoman Tina Lawton). Also, the Page on Yeoman Burke states "Yeomans Burke and Samno..." Beside the grammar (it should read "Yeomen Burke and Samno" as the script does) it's also a contradiction to this page. - Ian Scott Shackleton 20:50, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
