Attached to Starfleet?Edit

I was watching Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan and was wondering about Regula I and the Genesis Project. Were they separate to the Federation/Starfleet? I assume they are but it's a bit confusing. David Marcus first says "Everytime we have dealings with Starfleet I get nervous", then Dr Carol Marcus says that the Genesis Project is a proposal to the Federation. Can anyone clear it up for me? Destroyed? Edit

On the Regula 1 page, it states it was destroyed. When did this happen? I dont recall it being destroyed in the film. – The preceding unsigned comment was added by Lrdharris (talk • contribs).

I don't recall it being destroyed either. I suppose, however, since it was on the edge of the Mutara Nebula, it could have been destroyed from the Genesis/Reliant explosion, considering Enterprise had to warp out of there.--Trip 16:41, February 11, 2012 (UTC)
