plasma phaser = phaser cannon, a possible connectionEdit

I'm not putting this on the article, in any form, because it's a bit too much of a "connecting the dots" kind of fact. But I'll mention it here on the talk page. "Plasma phaser design" might be a reference to the phaser cannon. As in DS9: "Defiant" it was stated that in the phaser cannons, the plasma conduit that powers the array is run through the primary phaser coupling to almost double the power of the cannons and that on most ships this modification would significantly reduce the warp drive efficiency. --Pseudohuman 08:47, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
