Name Edit

Surely a better name for this would be something like Shuttlepod (2286)? Dunno if there's anything in the Naming Conventions either way on this, but I like that better. --Steve 07:01, 7 Jun 2004 (CEST)

Actually I don't like this name. The article clearly notes that these last well into the 24th century, so by restricting the name of this article to 2286, we are not accurately naming this article. Earth shuttlepod or Shuttlepod (Earth) might be more accurate across the board. --Alan del Beccio 06:13, 14 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Presumably the moving lights around Starfleet Headquarters in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country were also orbital shuttles, since at least one "set" had two distinctive red glowing lights on the aft end, but that's not a call I'm going to make myself. If we have any background on that somewhere, it would be a big help. - Archduk3 11:37, January 13, 2014 (UTC)
