NASA photo
Edit
This was recently added to the article:
- *The visual effects for Mars were origanlly supposed to be an adaptation of real NASA photographs of the Viking probe, but producers said it didn't look enough like a "Voyager planet."
Can I have a source for that please? --Jörg 16:11, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
- I got this from Star Trek: The Magazine Volume 1, Issue 18. There was a section on VOY visual effects, and in an interview with Mitch Suskin he mentioned what he and Rob Bonchune did for the episode "One Small Step". - Vertex 00:42, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
The debris: is it anything identifiable?
Edit
The debris floating by as John Kelly looks out the window has some distinct markings on it (screenshot below); is this anything identifiable from the ST universe?
Bridge to torpedo room?
Edit
During the funeral speech it appears the crew is on the bridge with the casket, however when released the casket is shown leaving out one of the torpedo tubes, it is plausible that it was beamed from the bridge to the torpedo room. – The preceding unsigned comment was added by 99.144.247.240 (talk).
Of Mars and Voyager Planets
Edit
- The visual effects for Mars were originally supposed to be an adaptation of real NASA photographs of the Viking probe, but producers said it didn't look enough like a "Voyager planet." So stock footage from the Paramount Pictures library was recolorized and manipulated.
