• Yar gave a 5 minute speech on the effects of using "drugs" (no doubt underwritten by Nancy Reagan) that I really didn't feel like paraphrasing it in this article, that contains a lot of useful references. I'm sure there are dozens of other examples of "narcotic drugs and related addictions" referenced in Trek, I just started with the ones that immediately struck me...
