Is 73918 really Danube class ? When you see the cockpit is differs from the Orinoco which is also Danube class. This cockpit is more spacious and has a seperate console in the middle. I did not find any info on other runabout classes. If it is considered Danube class the cockpit interior might be placed better on the Danube class page itself. -- Q 19:11, 11 Mar 2005 (GMT)

The "Danube-class" name probably encompasses all of the variations between the various runabout arrangements seen through the years on DS9. The sets were simply updated with new details every season, based on how scripts called for them to be used (like the transporter pad being added). The Rio Grande, having been shown every season, obviously got modified into the new specifications each time.
Furthermore, the DS9 TM even mentions the class was designed to be extensively modified -- crew compartments could be swapped out with equipment modules, etc..
I do feel the picture would benefit the Danube class page, but i think it can stay here also -- there's no fault in using a picture on two pages. -- Captain Mike K. Bartel

'twas grandeEdit

The ship that they left DS9 in was the Rio Grande, the registry for that ship could clearly be read in the previous episode. Apparently the sfx folks decided to renumber it in this episode.--Alan del Beccio 11:19, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

Name?Edit

Removed:

Although unconfirmed, this ship was reportedly named the USS Pechora after a river in North West Russia.

It's unconfirmed, and "reportedly", therefore, not valid information until there is a confirmation or some background information. -- sulfur 14:37, August 8, 2010 (UTC)
