Do we know for certain that she and the others on her planet were Humans? Thats definately requires a bit of explaination if indeed she is human. --Gvsualan 10:00, 13 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Humanoid at any rate 58.164.219.33 03:40, 3 Jan 2006 (UTC)
McCoy doesn't directly describe the species, but states that the virus was "meant essentially to extend the life of the human cell immeasurably" -- indicating it was designed for (and by) humans. -- Captain Mike K. Barteltalk 03:46, 3 Jan 2006 (UTC)
I agree with Captain Mike; Miri and the children were human. If they weren't, McCoy's statement of the scientists trying to "extend the life of the human cell" would be nonsence. Besides, idenical earth, idenical life. - J. Sparrow 20:56, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

Year of birth?Edit

The page currently features her year of birth as 1955. Where do this come from? First, it is not exactly stated in the episode that which year did the adult population die on the planet, it can be anywhen in the 1960s. Second, even if we accept (I opt not to) that the event happened in 1966 (300 years before the Enterprise's visit), Miri was at least 15 (not 11 anyways!), and thus her birth year is around 1951. I suggest to remove this information from the page. -- Ltarex, 11:43 April 15, 2012 (UTC)
