I seem to recall a question "What were the historical events on the planet Earth in the year 1987?" or something like that. Years ago, I read that Spock was supposed to state the transparent aluminum was invented thui proving that when Scotty and Bones gave the formual away, it was "meant to happen" but Spock's answer was cut and we only saw the question.
Can anyone confirm? -FC 16:00, 17 February 2009 (UTC)
As mentioned in the bg note, some of these questions and/or answers due to the nature of the scene may have never made it on screen. The article seems to have originally been set up to give the complete list of questions, but info solely derived from the script should be separated from canon info, the best solution I guess would be making them bg notes.
I've set out to clear this up several times, but all I have to work with is the dvd on which the text is too unclear, and the set of HD screencaps at trekcore which isn't complete enough. Bottom line, this article could really use someone with the Blu-ray version to go through the scene to check what is canon and what not. -- Capricorn 15:32, August 13, 2011 (UTC)
- Three years later, I've taken care of this myself, sorted everything in what was seen and what not, and removed the pna. However, there's still one more thing I'm uncertain of. The script states that toroidal space-time distortion advances were made in 2052. See pic for what was seen on-screen. The year is on the last line (next to last "word", followed by the letter b because the answer was cut off) - I'm not good in this, but that does not look like 2052. More like, 2154 or something, but I'm not sure. Could someone who's good at this take a look at this? I'm guessing giving a conclusive answer should be possible for those with more experience at deciphering text then me. -- Capricorn (talk) 17:44, June 28, 2014 (UTC)
