What's a podcast? valid resource? -- Captain Mike K. Barteltalk 08:42, 24 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Podcast commentaries are sort of like DVD commentaries, except you can download them as MP3s off the internet and listen to them on a portable player as you watch the episode. "In a Mirror, Darkly" is the first Star Trek episode to get one, but they are quite popular with shows like Battlestar Galactica and Stargate: Atlantis. Alex Peckover 11:06, 24 Apr 2005 (UTC)
I didn't think that these types of things were valid resources. I think the best thing would be refered to him as "Forrest (mirror)" and then mention in the article (pehaps at the bottom) that his named was changed in the script, but that he was never refered to in this way on the show.--docdude316 22:35, 26 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Mentioned right on the front page of StarTrek.com -- feature link herewbm. --Gvsualan 09:19, 24 Apr 2005 (UTC)
I think this kind of thing has been happening a lot here lately -- script data being used as article material here. I generally think that script info like that is generally appropriate, but cannot be included if it contradicts something in a filmed source -- i think that as long as it was part of the original creation of the episode, we are allowed to use it, but with appropriate footnoting.Captain Mike K. The Encycopedia has done the same thing as well, notably with Benteen, whose first name was not given in dialoge for DS9: "Homefront" or "Paradise Lost", but is accepted as canon by the Encyclopedia and in this wiki. route56 02:13, 30 Apr 2005 (UTC)

RemovedEdit

I removed:

Forrest's sacrifice and act of heroism was uncharacteristic for an officer serving in the Terran Empire, since many have demonstrated a tendency to put their own safety and well being above that of their fellow crewmates. This mirrors the sacrifice of his "prime" universe counterpart to save the life of Ambassador Soval

I think the first sentence is worth noting, but not the second. - Mitchz95 14:29, August 27, 2011 (UTC)
It's unnecessary analysis. We don't know why he did it, so we do not make statements about it.--31dot 14:35, August 27, 2011 (UTC)
