"Loria" or "Araya Garan"?Edit

Is this character's name really "Loria"? Both the IMDb [1] and StarTrek.com [X]wbm seem to indicate that this character might actually be named "Araya Garan", but I haven't seen the episode in years and don't have the DVDs to check myself. Anyone able to check? --TommyRaiko 13:26, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

At one point he Hantil says to her "I don't know what to think any more. I'm scared, Araya." [2] so I guess it is in fact Araya. - AJ Halliwell 14:50, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
On the other hand, Chakoteya's transcript for the episode only states Loria. :S - Enzo Aquarius 14:53, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
Hatil says "Im scared, Loria". This can be verified by checking the other language dubbings of this episode where Araya and Loria don't sound so phonetically similar. It's "Loria" in all other versions and also according to the subtitles. So, Loria it is. --Jörg 15:09, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
??? I just checked my DVD, he definitly says "Araya" and the subtitles say Araya too. - AJ Halliwell 15:13, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
Then the subtitles must be different in the UK and the US release of the episode, because it is subtitled "Loria" in my version. Look at his mouth when he speaks the word, you can see him form the "L" at the beginning of the word.
And something about her being called "Loria" in the other language versions:
When the episodes are dubbed, the dubbing studios in the other countries are provided with a script of the episode, which is then translated into the new language and given to the voice actors. When "Loria" is then read by those voice actors, they pronounce the word according to the pronounciation guidelines of their languages. German and Italian, for example, are pronounced very close to the way things are actually written, while English has much more differences there (which, amongst others, has to do with the virst vowel shift). Anyway, he says "Loria" in English, which sounds roughly like "Araya" in English. In the other language versions, he says "Loria" however, pronounced exactly like it is written, so it is Loria in the end. --Jörg 15:22, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
Chakoteya's website isn't worth crap. --22:49, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
