The way the article is currently written is correct: Geordi was placed in command of the USS Enterprise-D, and Logan was in charge of engineering at the time. Geordi was not placed in charge of engineering until the next season. --From Andoria with Love 05:02, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

Multiple Chief Engineers theory Edit

I understand the section about the Enterprise having multiple chief engineers, referencing Riker's line, but since both MacDougal and Argyle were Lieutenant Commanders, while Logan was only a Lieutenant, wouldn't it make more sense for one of them to come up and try and assume command from Geordi instead of Logan, since they outrank him as well?
