Merge suggestionEdit

I wonder if this page should be merged with architecture, as landscape architecture is just architecture dealing with landscapes. I could see keeping this seperate if there was an abundance of architects or different schools of architecture in Star Trek, but I think this was the only variant mentioned(besides simply architecture).--31dot 01:43, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

I don't see it hurting to build the web every once in a while. When MA started out there seemed to be this paranoia about stretching things too far, but what we've become today proves we can go beyond an isolated collection of compound articles incapable of sending out some satellites pages on a number of subjects, if there is enough to support said expansion. --Alan 03:30, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

PNAEdit

I also noticed that the first sentence is lifted from the wikipedia article, which could be considered a copyright violation. --31dot 01:43, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

Incorrect (unless I have been utterly mistaken for years). See Wikipedia:Copyrights. "Wikipedia content can be copied, modified, and redistributed so long as the new version grants the same freedoms to others and acknowledges the authors of the Wikipedia article used (a direct link back to the article satisfies our author credit requirement)." -Rhinecanthus rectangulus 01:55, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

I will be pleased to admit that I am wrong, if that is the case. :) It was my understanding that the license here was incompatible with Wikipedia's.--31dot 02:22, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

The problem with copying from Wikipedia (or any other GFDL-based source) to MA is that you can't grant the same freedoms as the original article. The GFDL permits commercial use, and by republishing here under the CC by-nc license, you restrict commercial use, thereby violating the original license agreement. -- Renegade54 04:27, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
