Destroyed? Edit

I'm pretty sure this shuttle wasn't destroyed, only damaged by the missile. - Mitchz95 (talk) 01:21, April 29, 2013 (UTC)

Based on the damage done to the Kelvin with it's shields up, I'm pretty sure this shuttle was destroyed. Also, if this gets changed again, make sure to update the text along with the sidebar. - Archduk3 03:04, May 3, 2013 (UTC)

It looked like just one or two fragments from the missile hit the shuttle's nacelle. I don't think that would have destroyed it. - Mitchz95 (talk) 03:26, May 3, 2013 (UTC)

If you've got a picture, that would help, since it gos by so fast in the film. - Archduk3 03:41, May 3, 2013 (UTC)

How exactly do I take a screenshot with a DVD? Every time I try it gets wiped out (probably some security against piracy). - Mitchz95 (talk) 04:19, May 3, 2013 (UTC)

Generally, you can't be in full screen mode (and per MA's image use policy it shouldn't be "zoomed" at all either) and need to turn off any video accelerators. The rest should be a simple print screen grab and crop. - Archduk3 04:38, May 3, 2013 (UTC)

It still doesn't seem to be working, but by replaying it frame-by-frame I can tell that not only was the shuttle not destroyed, it appears that the missile was actually blasted by the Kelvin an instant before it would have hit the shuttle. (and no, I'm not mixing it up with Medical shuttle 37). Plus, there's no shuttle debris when the camera pans to the right a second later. If you have the DVD, pause at 9:19 and you'll be able to see it for yourself. - Mitchz95 (talk) 03:10, May 4, 2013 (UTC)

You can see here the phaser beam about to hit the missile threatening this shuttle. - Mitchz95 (talk) 03:13, May 4, 2013 (UTC)
