Which one is John Boyer?[]
The episode TOS: "Turnabout Intruder" says John Boyer played "USS Enterprise operations security guard 21", so I changed the link in this page to the same character from #20 (who clearly is someone else, in any case). However, the background info boxes of both this crewman and that of "USS Enterprise operations security guard 17" say the actor "may or may not be John Boyer" -- can anyone find out the discrepancy? - The links are to page anchors, not to specific headings on the page, and very often the anchor text doesn't match the text on the page. In this case, the correct link is to "USS Enterprise operations security guard 20", which is a redirect to "Security guard #21" on the Unnamed USS Enterprise (NCC-1701) operations personnel page. - See the documentation for the {{anchor}} template for an explanation, and then review one of those long composite articles in source edit mode (like the one mentioned above). You'll see the anchor template used throughout the article, one for each section header. There should be a corresponding redirect for each one, and it's the redirect that should be used when linking. - it doesn't help that not all individuals were accounted for before the project came to fruition, so since then new people have been squeezed inbetween existing or two like people from different pages have been moved elsewhere, messing up the numbering sequence (since they're listed chronologically). Eventually it would be possible to fix them all into a logical sequence, but only once all individuals can be accounted for.--Alan del Beccio (talk) 05:22, December 22, 2016 (UTC)
