Carbon Creek Jack = Jackson Roykirk Edit

Um, when was it revealed in the "Carbon Creek" episode that the teenage Jack was actually Jackson Roykirk? Just curious... If it was the intention of the writers, it should be noted in italics. Why is it "Roykirk" and not "Kirk"? Edit

I have always thought that Nomad was confused between "Jackson Roy Kirk" and "James T. Kirk". Are there any scripts floating around or other documents that say "Roykirk", other than James Blish's work? Thanks, Bcorr from Wikipedia | talk 11:16, 30 Nov 2005 (UTC)

Jackson Roy Kirk and James R. Kirk Edit

Something that puzzled me for years. I know that in "Where No Man Has Gone Before" Kirk's tombstone showed his name as "James R. Kirk" and this was due to the episode being made before his name was established as "James T. Kirk" I often wondered if the writers had originally intended for him to be named James R. Kirk thus his shortened name would be "J. R. Kirk" and if Jackson Roykirk was actually Jackson Roy Kirk, his shortened name would be "J. R. Kirk" as well thus explaining Nomad's confusion on the issue. Was Captain Kirk ever called James T. Kirk before "The Changeling" ?

Prior to "The Changeling," Kirk's name was given as James T. in "Court Martial," "A Taste of Armageddon," "Tomorrow Is Yesterday," "Errand of Mercy," "Who Mourns for Adonais," and "Metamorphosis." - Bridge 08:52, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
