Klingon name Ja'rod is really English masculine name Jarod (a variant of Jared) which in original Hebrew is Yered.

Well, it isn't "really" an English name, it's "really" a Klingon name. Besides, without a citation from a member of the production staff to say this is where the name comes from, it's just speculation. -- Michael Warren | Talk 11:57, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
