While the Star Trek Encyclopedia does identify this weapon as an isomagnetic disintegrator, it should be noted that the 'Worfzooka' was never directly identified in the film. Furthermore, the other unidentified weapons Picard secured--tetryon pulse launchers--have a name more fitting the 'Worfzooka', as it does fire a clearly visible pulse, and is certainly bulky enough to be referred to as a 'launcher'. If it is an isomagnetic disintegrator, it certainly does a rather poor job of disintegration. -67.150.75.186 03:21, 25 Jul 2005 (UTC)

From the movie script[1] as provided on st-minutiae.com, scene 216:
They arm themselves, Worf takes a new bazooka-like
weapon, an isomagnetic disintegrator, and they move
 out...

I have an issue with saying this weapon worked to "great effect". I was sort of disappointed when I saw it in action myself. I mean, what did it do that a phaser can't do on it's max setting? I was expecting the thing to disintegrate like 10 or 20 square meters or something. All it did was make a little explosion the size of a grenade. (24.168.233.100 08:43, 29 February 2008 (UTC))
Well, perhaps that's only a low setting of the disintegrator :) Marianne 22:05, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
This is all speculative. We should just accept that we will probably never know the answer and forget about it. TrekFan 02:38, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
It would make more sense for it to be a tetryon pulse launcher because tetryon pulses can shut down weapons which would explain the low damage. If the script identifies it as an isomagnetic disintigrator though I guess it must be one.81.108.237.26 15:48, January 22, 2010 (UTC)
This should be renamed Purple Space Bazooka. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 74.102.179.56 (talk).
