Someone want to tell me why the house is still called the House of Mogh even though Mogh has been dead for years? In most other cases, the house is named for its current head (the "House of Quark" is an apt, if ironic example).

Since Worf is apparently the senior surviving member of his house, shouldn't it be called the "House of Worf"?

Perhaps it's due the rather unusual circumstances around Mogh's death and Worf's subsequent human upbringing. With Worf absent, and Kurn in cognito, there was no one left of the House of Mogh to whom the house could be attached. It would seem likely that the Klingons would have a ritual for "changing of the guard". They have one for everything else!
But the question is largely academic now since the House of Mogh (or Worf) is no more. Kurn joined the House of Noggra, and Worf and Alexander joined the House of Martok. -Andrew6-01-05 16:18 PDT
The House of Duras never became the House of Toral, either. Daibhid C 14:30, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

Crest/medallion Edit

This article would be much more complete if it had a picture of the crest of the house of Mogh. It is typically seen on Worf's baldric, until replaced by that of the house of Martok. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 74.186.14.6 (talk).
