Multiple speciesEdit

From the article: In some cases, more than one intelligent species originates from the same planet. In most cases one species destroys the other, although exceptions include Trill and Xindus.

Have we ever had an example of this from Trek? I can come up with at least one more counterexample -- the Menk and Valakians -- but nothing to support this statement. -- Steve 02:01, 20 Mar 2005 (EST)

I can't think of any example either. Let's remove that part for the moment. -- Cid Highwind 06:14, 20 Mar 2005 (EST)
  • I think it's refering to a line by Phlox about human evolution. I don't remember the episode, but it was something about humans being on Earth the same time as another species, cromagnum maybe. Jaf 23:02, 14 Sep 2005 (UTC)Jaf

Removed from articleEdit

(and the Vulcans themselves did not evolve on the planet that would become known as "Vulcan", but another world, possibly Sargon's Planet)

I don't think this has been mentioned anywhere - if it was, it needs to be cited and also added to the Vulcan article. Given the reference to Sargon, I guess this is meant as an interpretation of one of Spocks comments in "Return to Tomorrow" - but that is rather inconclusive and could mean many different things... -- Cid Highwind 22:58, 15 February 2006 (UTC)

Trill species Edit

I think that the line that there are two different species from the trill homeworld is pure speculation based on a behind-the-scenes decision. i vote for its removal.--Tiberius 10:21, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

There are the humanoid hosts and the non-humanoid symbionts - makes two species, right? ;) -- Cid Highwind 12:03, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
Ah yes. I was thinking the theory about the two different kinds of host we have seen - the Odan style and the Jadzia style. still, I think that this shows that the article could be clarified in this regard, so I'll go and do it now.--Tiberius 07:29, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

Spelling Edit

Id this spelled homeworld or home world, the only reason I ask is that I was typing something on my computer and the spell check said that it wasn't spelled correctly as homeworld.--UESPA 20:42, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

I wouldn't expect your spellchecker to know a word that pretty much has no real-world meaning or practicality. Anyway: you could check scripts to find an answer. Here's a start: http://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Atwiztv.com+%22star+trek%22+homeworld
